    Default Owning Speed Gas Cylinder

    Hi All,

I'm from QLD and as far as I know there is no company that sells gas cylinders rather then renting them out.

Has anyone dealed with Speed Gas in NSW before?

The sales rep said at this stage they cannot sell a cylinder to me in QLD, but couldn't give a reason as to why. If enough interest was sparked I wonder if he would reconsider?

Interested in hearing what other options there are.

    Cheers

I've used them for the last 12 monts (3 bottles worth) and they're easy to deal with.

I give them a few days notice to when I need a new bottle and they charge my Visa card and deliver the bottle.

I'd recommend tham and have to numerous people.

I've got an E size of Argon and it made good economic sense. The cylinders are exchanged on refill so effectively you could keep it going for 30+ years, assuming the company lasts that long, but you could say the same about any business you deal with. Re. Qld. I suppose they need someone who could refill for them there, which might be too difficult at this early stage.

Can't help you with speed gas, but there was a machinery shop in Beenliegh (allmar from memory) used to do a deal where you could refill privately owned BOC/CIG cylinders using the 'same day rental" mechanism.

Not sure if it's still an option since BOC have since introduced the barcodes on the cylinders, but I know it saved a few people some heartache many moons ago.
