Factory neighbour says "I have this big old TIG that needs testing."
He bought it years ago, but has never tried it?

OK. We wheel it into my place, I uncoil the two or 3 sets of cables/handles,
No electrode holders or insulators, one original looking torch handle,
one torch handle that has been jury-rigged with a switch on the side,
earth cable nearly worn thru in one spot.
The usual weird stuff you get with old equipment.

I blow the dust off/out, and investigate. No rust inside.
Plug it in, turn it on, fan spins, light comes on. All good so far.
Find an old insulator, electrode holder.
Strike an arc on some old scrap. Melt some steel:

Attachment 401708

Only issue is the gas feed. Both ends have this little fitting:
Attachment 401706 Attachment 401707

The front is missing the quick connect for it,
and the back has that on the hose that would attach to a regulator.
What is this fitting?
