    Default Welding Supplies

Hello everyone and I trust that this thread is appropriate. I started up my own welding supplies shop 2 years back after getting a raw deal from my then employer. I am a Boilermaker by trade but got out of it some 20 years back to some extent and now find myself trying to sell related product. The name of the business is T.H.O.R Welding & Gas Supplies and I am located in Sydney, Casula to be exact. I am not currently supplying the Industrial gases as I originally did because of problems I had with the gas agent. My eBay store is located at eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d I have 2 websites Thor Welding and Gas | Welding Supplies Sydney, Welding Electrodes, Welding Rods - Australia's favorite welding supplies ! which is a bit of a mess and hard for me to fix up properly as I am limited with my website skills and www.thorweldingsupplies.com.au which is a work in progress. Any suggestions any of you might have on how to improve my services would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Paul

    Welcome Paul,

You are welcome as poster asking a question or even helping someone who needs a question answered.

I'll trying to be tactful here and say what the forum is not, and that is it not a place to post a link to your business.

If you run a good business someone here will likely give a good "word of mouth" type report .That will be the best advertising you will get.

I dare say by now someone will have reported you and you will get a discrete PM.

Maybe you should look up the posting rules Ok. I hope this is subtle enough for you to get the drift.

Thank you Grahame for your friendly pointer and yes, I was reported! I was looking around for my sites listings last night and found a similar post on here from a competitor in WA. He had received a few good feed backs and I thought what the heck. Looking back on that post, it was actually dated 2008 so imagine you have cracked down on such activity which is totally understandable. I do apologise for breaking any rules and am sincerely grateful to for his discretion. I hope I can assist in future posts in a better way then my first. Is there a way to receive email alerts to peoples replies to posts you are involved in so my response time can be faster? or do I need to log on to the Woodwork Forums to see replies to previous posts? Thank you again for your understanding.

    Regards Paul

Well I have bought from your on line store recently Paul and happy with your service and I guess that's the way it works on these things. Members ask where is a good place to buy stuff and if we have good experiences we spread the word. I was frustrated buying from my LWS due to their attidudes dealing with back yarder welders so there is a market there that can be picked up if it is done right.

Your input and experience I would imagine would be most appreciated here for unbiased advice to members and I am sure that in time people will get to know you and trust you without you ever having to advertise your business here if you wish to participate in that way..

I hope that someone can help you though with your website and wish you good success with it. I need suppliers such as yourself and I am sure others do too.
