    Default Festo Framing Saw

This is the third machine in the series. It is a Festo 3KW framing saw with a trenching head mounted on the other end of the motor. The blade needs conventional 300mm blade needs to be removed to use the trenching head.

The construction is fairly massive in keeping with these industrial style saws. The fence can be adjusted for angle cutting by the means of folding wedges at the back which keep everything in place. A few years ago I made up a melamine table to replicate the original timber table that had disintegrated. Now the melamine table needs replacing too.

The fifth picture shows the guard for the trenching head removed and you can also see a spare trenching head sitting on the table in some of the pix.

Paul, Festo made some unbelievable pieces of equipment, I had a chance a while back to purchase one of their tenoning machine, I passed it up as I didn't have the money at the time, and have regretted it ever since.
Thanks for showing such a rare and unusual machine especially with the tenoning attachment.
Here is a catalog cut from a 1955 festo catalog..

That is absolutely fabulous. Thank you posting the catalogue.

Ironically, one of the machines that came with the package was a four head tenoning machine. I couldn't see I would ever use it in reasonable terms and needed the money so I sold it .
