An eye for proportions
Some woodworkers have an eye for scale and proportion. Some use the golden rule or fibonacci sequence, some of us fiddle and adjust, but some just seem to have "the eye", that intrinsic "something" that tells them whether an article is correctly proportioned in relation to its surrounds.
Take today for instance, I picked up some timber at Robbos place and had a bit of a sticky beak while I was there (as did everyone else - admit it). Anyway, what struck me was the classic proportions that I observed. Did anyone else notice?
His shed is bigger than his house! Now "that" is an eye for proportion!
