Thread: cable for 2.2kw spindle

15mm sounds about right, you'll even have difficulty with 10mm if its the same as the 1.5KW air spindles or well I did.

This is the machine which had the siemens 1.5mm2 4 Core cable from cablesplus.com.au

The outer insulation was stripped and the wires fed into the housing, each wire is insulated separately (heatshrink) and then all 4 wires insulated against the outer shell, not pictured but I later closed up the connector and wound electrical tape around the connector and wire, I did the same with my other machine

The chinese spindles shouldn't have those light microphone connectors on them, you may want to consider swapping them out for a suitable connector, some other members have used one but I cannot find the link here at the moment, I believe element-14 sells them? one of the users here may know which connector I'm talking about.
