Thread: Help Wanted To Make Model Helicopter Sideframes

I'm hoping there will be someone here that can help me with a project of mine. Willing to pay for material and a reasonable machining fee, but I am on a budget

I am in the process of designing my own model helicopter sideframes. My intention is to have the sideframes made out of 2.5mm thick G10 material (a fibreglass sheet sometimes described as rigid insulation).

To put some scale around my project, each sideframe will fit on an A3 page. The internal radii are a min of 3.2mm. There are lots of 3mm holes in the sideframe.

As far as accuracy goes, I'm not totally sure what I need, but my estimate is +/-0.1mm over 400mm.

I am using AutoCAD2007. Happy to provide a .dxf file to allow review.

What I had in mind was to order the G10 sheet and have it delivered to the CNC router/mill owner's address. Then pay for frames per set, or something like that.
