Keith, I like the green lighting. While it would provide more than the lamps of old, it provides the right type of dull lighting if you were to step on the footplate. A brighter, but hot blinding light would come from the fire when the engine is working.
Crowie, yes the cab looks busy, but it is all plain and simple when you understand how it works. No such thing as hidden piping. If you are not sure what does what, just trace it.

Fletty,
Photos for you with the firebox just started to glow. Both Spotlight and green light.
Today I did some more work on the steamed formed MDF roofing and the roofing structural timberwork and increased the lengths of wiring for the firebox "fire"
Regards
Keith

I seem to be alone (again), but I don't like the green lighting at all. I cannot see the point of lighting if it doesn't actually illuminate the interior.

Hi Chris,
That is only one mode. The main mode is the spotlight which illuminates as though it is daytime.
I like the green as it is something different and it adds just something sublime (bit of a pun there) for a photo.
The photo next to the "green" one is with the spotlight. The shed was pitch black outside - so the interior light does it's job.
Thanks for your comments
Keith

Hi All,
I have finished the interior cabin pipework. The most difficult part of all the pipework was today's effort - trying to get the correct bends to go from the lubricator out to both the left and right hand drive cylinders. It was also a pain connecting the steam pipe to go to the compressor. I had to secure the Firebox assembly to the front cabin wall so that I had a fixed object to work with. I secured with phillips head woodscrews 75mm long. The countersunk heads of these will be filled with bodyfiller and then cleaned up and then the section of the firebox repainted silver.
Can now concentrate on securing the cabin side assemblies.
Regards
Keith
