    G'Day All of the blokes & ladies who enjoy making toys for children of all ages as Christmas presents.
    BUT where are all the Christmas Toys you've made?
    I've been watching and looking daily to see what people have made;
    but sadly there has been very few new threads posted with the photos of Christmas toys.
    COME ON everyone, please show us you handy work.
    It's great for inspiration and encouragement for the rest of us.
    Meantime Ladies & Gents;
    Have a very safe, happy & Blessed Christmas with Family & Friends.

    Here are a few of the toys I did for Christmas and have given away already.
    The big train went to a little 2 year old who has a hearing problem and the other two little cars to friends kids.

    Was a pleasure to make them and more of a pleasure to see the happy faces of the recipients.

    I think this puts the icing on the cake.. here is a pic of the little boy who received a toy helicopter I made.

    First pic is the moment he was shown the toy helicopter..

    And here he is with his new toy.

    That's what makes it all worth while.

    Mine are still on the production line.

    This is what happens when they're not added to the 2-do-queue until Dec 1st hits the calendar.

    Pix may ensue shortly. (Or mebbe not. Things're rushed!)

    Default Xmas toys,- Adult size !!!!

    Had ONE Xmas toy order this year, and that was via a friend from Murray Bridge whose neighbour requested some basic toy trucks for her little boys. Every other order I have received has been for, " Adult Stuff, " - House Signs; Bar Signs; Humorous Signs; Custom made Coffee tables, and that sorta thing,- kids wooden toys seem to have gone out of fashion in this part of, "Oz," for some reason, or maybe because everyone round here prefers the cheap imported variety, or electronic things, or something like that. Already have received orders for the New year for bar, & house signs, etc.

    I have 6 nieces under 6, so i made them all a stroller each. These are about 20% bigger than the cheapies available at K-Mart etc. Each has the name of the new owner stenciled onto each side.

    Well, here's a coupla pix of the production line. Just splashing on a few coats of Miniwax wipe-on, then slapping on wheels and axles.

    There are also a few Jacob's Ladders copied from a recent thread, a coupla jewellery boxes and a couple of 'belated' projects due to lack of time.

    Belated in that they won't be started 'til after Chrissy; the promise is the present. Maybe. These are a sand-pit digger (which'll be built on-site, some 1700kms away ) and a pair of wooden Sherman Tanks.

    Cut me some slack gents, the new hip is only 6 months old and I'm still doing hydrotherapy to get everything working again.
    A case of much pain for some gain.
    Anyways, I did post the Tin Lizzie thread,
    plus I'm 3/4's finished another garage, with the bousers & signs to make.
    Though I got a special request yesterday for a "Jet Fighter" aeroplane from my grandson.
    It might be late for Christmas, more like New Year.
    Here's Tin Lizzie & the eleventh or tweleth Garage.
    Cheers, crowie

    I have had that many orders I have been toooo busy to post pics but getting closer to finished now so she who must be obeyed will put up some pics (I hope)

    Attached a variety of photos of the progress of my Christmas orders, including wheel centres, cab over scanias, cattle truck backs, prime movers and some of the cattle trucks which went for Christmas, with one lone bewildered cow...

    I didnt get photos of the Sandpit diggers, loaders, dump trucks, cradles, dolls high chairs etc that I have also had as Christmas orders. I still have 6 trucks and a dolls house to make this week which I will have to deliver at the end of the week as it will be too late for the post, lucky the furtherest one away for this lot is Warwick 2hrs drive, it will be a nice break from the Workshop.

    Merry Christmas to you all, thanks for the support during the year,

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Here is the first one for me, the finished firetruck. I still have 2 more to finish, but one won't make christmas because the shop is undergoing a restauration which takes longer tan I thought.

    I'm betting you're glad you're not a 'hand-tool only' kinda guy!
