Yes Peter, I agree, which is why one of the mods sent a polite and informative PM to the member to make him aware of that policy.

Give the Mods a break.
Give the Mods a break they are trying to help.
Reading the thread shows that the OP is apologizing publicly for inadvertently having broken the forum rules. We all do that from time to time but I haven't seen a blast from a Mod in this case, so as Big Shed said, it must have been done privately.
It should have been left there, but others jumped in to encourage larger fonts, so DJ put up a big post helping to make post easier to read for those that want larger fonts. Even that ought to have been the end but more posts ensued so that the Mods had to show the applicable forum rule and it gets still queried.
So ease up on the Mods as I'm sure the OP must be getting annoyed that his simple public apology is being used as a football to kick the Mods in the guts.
Peter.

no angst here, and I don't really care one way or the other. I was only pointing out that the usual method of enlarging text doesn't work. From now on, I'll keep my mouth shut. Should make many happy, I'm sure.
We weren't hassling the mods, merely showing support for Gary, a fellow member.... Steve
