Retirement Fun
I got to thinking the other day that the trunk I built for my grandson may not be great fun for him to play with. It is pretty big and heavy for a 2 year old. I saw in Toys and Joys plans catalog that they had some simple ones that would be something a little boy could really play with. They were so simple I decided to try my had at making one by making my own drawing. I also got to thinking how would I build it if I only had a 12" piece of 2" x 6". This is what I came up with. I had to use some other wood for the wheels and fenders because I wasted some wood, but I think I could do the whole thing with one foot of 2" x 6" if I decide to make more. Okay, so I'm just having fun. That is what retirement is suppose to be..

I don't think you'll be the only one having fun, when your grandson gets his hands on that truck.
I really like what you've made there, it's simplistic in shape but has the style.
Just about perfect for a child.
Really well done mate.
Trevor.

Yes ''PLD'' that's what retirement and grandchildren are all about.
The little bloke will have hours of fun with that truck and it'll last a lifetime.
Very well done sir.
Keep enjoying the retirement.
Cheers, crowie
