    Default Rocketship Mark III

Well started another one. Went for an art deco look on the wings.

Blimey Bret you sure are turning these out a bit quick.

Another great rocket at first I thought it was a mortar shell.

Will you mount this one on a stand as well, and how big is it.

Thank you Derek. It's about 9" tall. I plan on a launch pad for this one. One thing I do like about these is how quick I can make them. I spend more time milling the blank than making them. I have quite a few more designs I want to try. So I will keep posting hopefully you guys don't get sick of them

    G'Day Bret,
You must have scored a few days off work as well as some cooler weather in Texas.
You have certainly been busy in the shed playing on the lathe; you'll soon be teaching others.
The rocket looks good, different design.
Your boys will be blasting off all over the house.
    Cheers, crowie.

No days off Peter. I wish. Vacation in another 22 days. It is back to school time here in the states. Work has been crazy. But I have managed to squeeze some time in the shop. The weather has been in the high 90's. The heat hasn't bothered me as much this year for some reason. When I am working on something I enjoy I don't even notice how hot it is. Plus the rocketships come together pretty fast so I am spending a couple of hours at a time. I have a neighbor a few doors down that I have infected with the woodworking bug as well and spending time teaching him about different stuff. So far he has bougth a lathe, drill press, and router table with router. He is on the hunt for a bandsaw at the moment. I created a monster! LOL

AHHH what have you done Bret tell your neighbour that there is no cure.

Glad to see you are able to get into the workshop. It is great when you can help others who want to learn this great hobby, All you have to do now is persuade him to post some of his work when he makes some.
