Default Making Bed head with floating drawers

I'm about to start a bedhead with floating drawers, using a old floorboards offcuts that I've had stored away for awhile, so a bit of a rustic look. It uses a steel frame (drawn up in CAD one Monday evening, delivered on Wednesday evening thanks to a couple of friends). Design details of timber construction subject to change.

step 1 - shed tidied up and floor swept.
Step 2 - pull out the pieces so i can start selection
step 3 - come in and post about it.

Turns out I have two different types of long floorboards. and i just have enough for the 1200mm long on each side of the panel - no spares. Fortunately i have plenty about 900mm which I need for the main part of the panel. I intend to fill the flaws with something clear - want them to stand out.

I am planning on attaching the panel to some three or four pieces of 30x30 pine across the back of the panel, and screw from the back into each floorboard slat- but I have given no thought to timber movement. Any thoughts on that? (slats will running vertically, and the panel will be attached to the steel frame via the 30x30 pieces)

Looks like an interesting build and one to watch.

I can not comment on wood movement, just thinking out loud, if these boards are glued together edge to edge you might be able to attach to the frame as one piece(as a panel) and allow for wood movement as a single panel.
