    Silky oak & Black wattle Dining table .Silky oak branch slabs ,blackwattle raised centre piece & legs ,carved pentacle & marble inset universe feature legs ,seats 8 comfy,IS THERE A DOLPHIN (OR TWO) IN THERE.

    I don't know about any dolphins, but I can see a turtle in there.

    What a novel way to make the top! Love the idea behind the non-linear joinery. Did it give you any major problems?

    I'm not sure whether the leg/table joints would be strong enough to withstand the table being dragged along (esp. on carpet) but that's always a weak spot on any design and only time will tell...

    The whole area of the overlap ,about all the end width of the table,both pieces were halved in thickness and glued and clamped and about 8 to 10 brass wood screws as holders.As for the legs they are sitting in a 20mm deep routed neat groove to give strength and to stop the wattle from warping,the brackets are more appearance ,mainly to stop small movement.It is designed to be able to easily remove the legs if need be .
