Now that is what i call dedication. Well done mate.
Did you have far to go?
Next time you have a big piece to deliver give me a yell. I can get a 3 tonne truck from work. Those were the droids I was looking for.

Hi Tony, she's all tarped down ready for delivery in the morning, Randwick. Nothing like a little pre breaky nip into Smogney. I thought about getting a truck but this little trailer rides quite softly and doesn't knock things around. I am going to put some shockies on it and it will be even better then.
Thanks for the offer.

Another great job CH, well done. It looks deceptively simple too, I hope the customer appreciates the skill and work that has gone into it.
The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Lovely job! I hope the customer recompenses you for the trailer modifications! Have you tried turning the caravan yet?
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

Deep and low bow, thank you guys. Delivered and home again, yet another very happy customer.
The trailer mod didn't take long and I'm sure it will be handy for long pieces of timber. I forgot to take a photo of the table in its new home but I may be able to get her to send one. A lovely big sun drenched room with fully opening bi fold doors to the back court yard.
Ok back to the Bathroom bits. But I might just have a lazy afternoon first.

red cedar
There is no doubt, when weight, grain and colour are added to workability, red cedar is top stuff.
Well done. Look forward to the bathroom show

Hey Greg, as much as Cedar looks fantastic, is light etc its hard to work with in that it is so easily damaged when bumped etc (especialy if you are hurrying). My favourite for weight, grain and workability is Tassie Blackwood. Not much heavier than Cedar, even more interesting grain (still with chatoyance) but just that bit tougher and not so easy to damage. The dark red Cedar I know is tougher but I have found in the last few years just selling to the general public (not woodies) that Red is not the flavour of the month. Like most fashions it will come around again I'm sure.

colour of the month
You're right.
I note that at shows, some years red is great, some years, lighter timbers, browns, pinks, sometimes no-one wants white ( white mahogany is a much underrated timber), sometimes all the kauri pine sells straight off.
You just have to have a range to suit all houses and desires.
But I still like cedar for its heirloom factor and weight.

Yep, this lady wanted a certificate saying that it was Aust Red Cedar which I gave her and her brother (a strapping young man) and I carried it in with only minor guidance and help from his mate.
Originaly she wanted Spotted Gum, that would have been a different story.
