Lathe lighting
About 2 years ago I picked these lights out of the skip at work. The frosted glass fronts were smashed and they were a bit rusty but I thought I would find a use for them somewhere. I stuck them in the attic and forgot I even had them.
This afternoon while shoehorning yet another thing into the attic I found them again under some camping gear. I cut some circles out of some clear polycarbonate scrap to act as globe protectors.
I can believe even the globes still work!
I think the hey sort of match the old school Hercus.

Yeah the clamp is a beauty and was what attracted me to that bracket in the first place.
The blue box is a $99 welder - with a new $99 cable/handpiece/clamp. The VSD is inside the black box on the wall next to the lathe in the second photo.
Details on the VSD are described here.
