Hi everyone,
I'm looking at putting a floating floor (Readyflor) over existing timber boards. The old boards have some slight hills & dips etc. I want to put the new floor perpendicular to the old.
Obviously I will need to sand the hills. Can I fill the dips with floor levelling compound? The Dunlop product at Bunnings says it is for concrete floors. Is there something for timber or could I use this?
Also, a new kitchen is going in. I've heard conflicting viewpoints on whether it is ok to install the new kitchen on the floating floor. It would be less work (but a bit more money), to put the floor down when the old kitchen is ripped out. Don't have to worry about doing the kicks later, less trimming, neater, etc.
Any more opinions to mess up my brain would be welcome!
Thanks
Roscoe
