Makeshift bathroom?
I'm eyeing off an old church that I can't afford, as you do. It looks cool, I like old buildings, its there, so I'm drooling over it
In theory you could move right into it if you don't mind a lack of walls and very sparse powerpoints, but the really obvious glaring issue is a lack of a bathroom, as it is an *un*converted church. There's a large vestry with an instant hws and a kitchen sink, so there's a drain out to the septic (which we couldn't find) and passing cold water pipes, but I doubt you could tap into the existing hws. The dunny - male and female - is out the back in a separate block.
Any tips on the cheapest, nastiest but not losing creature comforts (ie, I don't want a camping shower bag on a hook out the back or a bucket and sponge) way of rigging a reasonably solid temporary shower? I can get a licensed plumber/electrician out to do the gorey stuff but I'd prefer this to be a cheap, quick job, just in an attempt to convince the other half that this is less than an insane notion.
I guess this is going to involve tracking down a second hand electric tank hws (no gas) but I'm not sure on the actual shower part.
