I have some of that for bringing clean air in via an inline blower, not sure how it would go under vacuum.

Yeah, I'm going to hook a length up with a blast gate closing it off and see what happens!

Along with some duct connect sleeves and an adjustable elbow. It seems a bit tougher than some ventilation ducting, might be a good budget alternative to flexi!

Unfortunately the walls are too rough for high speed high volume air flow such as required by a DC so it will act like significantly smaller diameter pipe.
It's also quite fragile so if you drop something on it or tread on it, it squishes down in cross section too easily and the dents can be impossible to remove and the surface made smooth again, especially on longer sections. The foil is not that puncture proof so it can develop holes more easily than flexy.

That stuff is useful in extraction of hot gases like a welding fume bay situation.

I am thinking I might end up using it to position a vent somewhere up high, and open it when no machines are running just to clear some air. Was going to play with it this weekend, but the call of turning something has proved too hard to resist!
