hi Eddie
thanks for the encouragements
model building is just somethign i enjoy and although i do want to finish the model i am in no hurry and try to make it the best i can.
scratch building is certainly something i will give a try in the future when i have more equipment.
i have only been doing wooden models for a year now and this is my second model (also working on 2 others but i amfocusing on this build for now)

Hi Adrieke soke your strips in water for a time tell there wet all the way thue then what i di is take a block of wood that's 2'' wide and say 6'' long put it on it's side and runn it thru your band saw with the curve you need then put your strips in between and just put in your vice or clamps and mash it togather and let it dry and there you go a curve i hope this helps ...

First time I have come across this thread. Stage Coach builders are a world apart from the rest of us.
Great work.

Adriaan,
Glad to see you back at the stagecoach! I take a week off and all kinds of things crop up....
The paddle wheel looks great on your other project as well...but I'll comment there...
Cheers,
Jim

thanks Gary . no stain was used for this . the wood use is walnut and sapelli. I bend my strips by soaking them in water and then put a hot soldering iron together with a piece of wood that has a nice curve to it. I was just impatient and wanted to rush things when I broke the strips.
thanks for the comment greg

I think Bret, (bj383ss), was having the same problem with the latest IE. I'm not sure if he found a work-around, but it never hurts to ask.
You could maybe try hitting the <Enter> key at the beginning of the last line you typed to move it down one line, then select it and drag it up a line. That might leave a new line at the bottom.... Steve

Adrieke my solution is using Firefox to browse this forum or you could use google chrome. Kinda of irritating but for some reason IE just wouldn't work and I have version 10 with the latest updates.
