Its Here
Package arrived my partner David. Thank you very much. Your work is superb.
Not only did it contain a beautiful Penlight but the package filler is awesome.
I plan on adding this to my fountain pen repair toolbox. I am very happy that I was included in this great event and if I didn't say it before HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

I'm not sure of the wood on the penlight David. Is it RedGum?
Its beautiful and the Black Titanium and Gold sets it off great.
I have not forgotten your pen. I actually finished it yesterday evening, but it needs one more piece. I should have it in the mail by next week.
Here's a sneak peak

Now, back to the shop.

I don't want to distract from the Sierra, just that the JR Gent looks quite stunning.

OMG ! What a lovely surprise !
G'Day Folks,
Here is what Peter, USNR'03 sent me in the Pen swap.
I am unsure of the pens kit name as its the first I have seen over here, it has lovely solid feel to it and is now a regular in my pocket !

The selection of blanks are great, I've always wanted to try a coffee bean blank and now have the opportunity ! The spalted timbers are getting put aside for something special, I don't know what yet but they are so well figured I am drooling over them, LOL. Not only did I get some lovely blanks, I also received a beautiful fridge magnet and key ring. The fridge magnet is keeping the most important item in place on the fridge - the menu from the local Indian Restaurant !!!

Regards and thanks to you, Peter !!!

Cam Glad you enjoyed. The pen is an executive from pen state industries, my carry pen all of the time, the timber is red eucalyptus. The magnet is Aussie Cyprus (flooring). I have no idea what the unlabeled spalted blank is. I received it as a gift a few years ago. The others should be labeled if not let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Thank-you for swapping with me!!
Another Shout out to the organizers THANK-YOU!!
Regards
Peter

Was cleaning up after a great day of turning stuff in the shop with some friends, and the "One-that-must-be-obeyed" walked into the shop carrying a parcel! Well, things don't get much better!!
Cut the parcel open, and all this pretty timber jumped on me(sure do love me some pretty timber)....
But the show stopper was this great writing instrument from my swap partner Troy!!
I look forward to doing this swap every year, and wish to thank Troy for a great addition to my growing collection of pens. Thank you!!!
Scott (woohoo!!!!) B

no worries scott glad you like it , it was a spur of moment to decide to do the pen in both x-cut and with the grain to give a different look , and i hope you love the timbers i sent all bloody hard but special , you even got a blank of buloke as you can see its marked as being the hardest timber in the world as rated using the janka process , thanks again for joining in and also being my swap partner again

My goodies from NZ
Received my parcel from Michael in NZ and what a treat. The pen is a Sierra dressed in swamp kauri, said to be 4000 years old. The CA finish is immaculate.
There is also a small forest of blanks.
My photography does not do justice.
Many thanks Michael and to the organizers, it's always a treat at to take part in this.
The
Michael

One of my partners this year was Brad (Spankingpigeon), and his parcel arrived today. Needless to say, I'm absolutely flawed at his generosity. Not only did he send an amazing segmented pen (on a kit that I'm instantly in love with - magnetic catch, shadow chrome kit - awesome!!), but he has also sent countless amazing pen blanks and a huge 250 x 170 x 360 piece of olive wood.
All I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU what a champion!
