Please post the pens that you have received from your pen swap partner in this thread.
I will unlock this thread on the 26th of January and I will be really surprise to see a pen that had been finished, packed, sent and received on this day.

Well mine has arrived from Corbs ... I like it (big thumbs up)
The parcel was here today
and in the parcel
but of course you want to see not only the bonus blanks but a pen
and from another angle
Somehow I dont think mine will quite be as good or on par.
I looked at first glance and pondered this plethora of segments and all the inlay. Then it dawned on me what it was ... very effective
Thanks Corbs ... love it, CA finish I presume

Dave,
Happy the package has touched down and you're happy with it. You're correct on the CA finish too. The lead from one of the pencils fell out so I filled it with glitter and CA'd it in.
CorbsIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

I received my parcel from Grommett two weeks back and have been a bit slow to take the photos.
I really like the pen but could not work out what the timber is. Turns out it is cross cut Camphor Laurel. I should have smelled it rather than just looking at it.
Thanks very much Michael. Your parcel is on it's way. I sent it last Friday.

Cam, the box is on it's way. The clerk said 7-10 business days, so 2 weeks or so from yesterday. Can' wait see what is coming this way.

Shock and Awe
Got home from work today, and waiting patiently in the mailbox was a neat little package from USA.
Once I excitedly opened it, I was in awe of both the generosity and beauty of the contents.
Robert (MrPukaShell) I am very thankful for the pen, blanks and even the pen kit!!!
I haven't tackled a bolt action pen yet, so getting one sent to me was a real treat. It's Buckeye burl. The fact that he also included a kit and bushes for me to try one myself really is over the top. Then came the blanks. They are all with beautiful grain/figure and I can't wait to (hopefully) do them justice and turn them into pens.
Thanks a bunch to the organizers of the pen swap as it has been a bunch of fun and great to actually work 'to a deadline' however relaxed that deadline is.
Here are a couple of photos
Cheers

G'day All
A little late with my posting but well worth it. I received my package from Gabriel and what a package it was. I think Gabriel thought it was a wood swap and included a pen for good measure. I received pen blanks in the following, Mango Stump, Bugeroo, Spalted Sassafrass, Fiddleback Redgum, Beefwood, Huron Pine, Rewarewa & Peppermint Burl. Blocks are in Victorian Blackwood & Blackheart Sassafrass. The pen that Gab included was turned from Banksia Wood with a flawless CA finish. Gab even included a 3 page typed letted letting me know where the timbers came from along with a little information.
I am so pleased with the swap this year. Thank you so much for putting this together as it is always so much fun. One swap down and one to go.
Thanks again Gabriel,
Robert
