Been there, done that, now self-employed...

...and still having hassles with screwed-up pay cheques. .

Yeah, but be careful of the boss (you) laying you (you) off so that he (you) can rehire you (you) at a lower wage, with a greater expectation of output.

Then the screwed up pay checks will seem minor and you will really be able to grumble about yourself!

    Default More Pens for Ian007

    G'day everyone,
Here's some pictures of my latest batch of pens for Ians quest. I've turned 30 pens over the last week or so as time allows.
The first piccy. is of the first pens turned from Ozwinners pen blanks. They are from left to right-
    1. Myrtle
    2. Blackheart Sassafras
    3. Celery Top Pine
    4. Blackheart Sassafras
    5. Huon Pine - note snazzy spirals in lower pen body.
    6 Celery Top Pine.
Judging by the amount of Huon Pine in the parcel from Al, I can only suggest that he absolutely adores it, or has accumulated too much of it & needs to deplete his stock.
The matching pen & pencil in Black Palm were turned for a work mate as a gift for his wife for her birthday. I've since been asked to make a couple more pen & pencil sets in Black Palm.
    Regards,
    Barry.

How true... I've even taken me name off the overtime list at work, so no big purchases for a while.

Never a truer word uttered though I have found that work can interfere badly with shed time too

It's worse when shed time interferes with work time... especially when you're working from the shed.

It's so damned easy to get sidetracked.
