Default Finished off a work bench

Up until now I was working off of a small bench as well as an old dining table which was too low and not sturdy enough. Not to mention it had no vise and a few other things like its limiting size. Started this last bench weekend and finished it today.
Pine construction with an MDF top that has a small round over to the outer sides. Oak vice jaws and side rails that sit just below the MDF.
I had some spare Ikea drawers so just made up a plywood box to enclose them.
I drilled some holes in the vice and on the MDF top for the bench dogs at the vise end and at the rear side I have a few holes drilled just for some bench hold downs I have.
I got two veritas vises second hand but was mostly wanting the twin screw vise rather than the tail vise. After thinking about it for a while, the thing I didn't like about the tail vise which is an obvious issue with all vises is the limited jaw space you have. I used a piece of T track I had and some T bolts with a few little handles to make an adjustable stop for the vise. This way I can accommodate lengths from about 0-1.8m long by adjusting the position of the stop block. At first the stop block would tilt up so the top was not clamping the piece in the vise so I added a 2 degree angle to it and I also glued a piece of sand paper on the back and it helps immensely. This vise works quite well.

I've already put a dent in the MDF top which isn't a huge deal but would have liked to get at least a week out of it beforehand

How thick is the MDF top?

Is it a sacrificial top that can be easily replaced as it wears/dents/scratches?
    Cliff.

Thanks for the comments. Cliff it is only 18mm thick and has a second layer glued on the other side where I have dog holes and bench hold downs located for extra support. It is not glued or screwed down so can be removed and replaced when nessesary. Underneath it just sits on top of the pine framework which supports it around the edges as well as in the middle with cross braces. Then oak around the edge sits up higher than the pine frame to effectively keep the MDF in place. I added a round over to the MDF to stop any chip out if I slide something over the corners.

It is easily strong enough to take my weight (90kg) on top of it standing
