Setting up my shed, where do I put my timber?
Hi all,
I've been slowly getting my shed together. In between jobs that is and something new also seems to come along that needs a home so I seem to be forever getting no where with it.
My problem now is I have just about all the machinery I want yet no where officially to keep timber. It is piled here and there where ever it will seem to fit. But some of it is taking up valuable floor space. My workshop is just under a double garage and I have built a storage area above my office (roughly 2m x 2m) where I keep some timber. I have more garaging other then this (one shed is 6 x 6, another 16 x 6 and a carport 8 x 12) but it is mostly full of car stuff and I wish to keep the majority of the wood away from that.
I am thinking that some heavy duty shelves up the wall in my woodwork room might work well as my walls are 3m high. Does anyone else use a similar method?
Cheers

That sure is one sturdy rack!
I just don't have the floor space for that. That sort of structure would possibly work but up the wall above my workspace and machinery.
Here's the blog link you mentioned so its easy to find:

Hi
Have you by any chance made a mitre saw bench, because a really smart space saving idea is to make a storage shelf above it. Because space was limited in mine I did that, I also attached some photos of it. Yes you may be wondering how do I get up above there, you could always make a little ladder for it, which I have yet to do.
Cheers
