Dunno, and dunno, but can find out from the owner tomorrow when he is here. I think it's around $15 for 6 panels clipped together, each one is 600x400.

Probably should move this across to the Veg garden post, but ...

What gives with the flow cell?

Totally inappropriate -- yeah a bit emphatic -- use of the product.

Well there's been talk of a month of rain creating a pool etc etc if the silt clags up around the joints between the sleepers in the Geo-fabric. There are small gaps between the sleepers in various places now, and I'm fully expecting them to increase past 6-7mm as the sleepers dry out (having seen how much 150x25 H4 pine shrinks in 12 months). In other words I don't expect drainage to be a problem, but.....

It will also protect the somewhat brittle bitumen from chipping off by rocks. There will only be topsoil for the top 300mm so no protection required there.

At the end of the day - I'm not doing that part, and happy to go with the Flo.

$15 per sq metre (although I think it must be 1200x1200 because the individual panels are 600x400). Website (for where to get it): Atlantis Australia - Atlantis Drainage Cell

This was their response (from a Civil Engineer):

Your use of the drainage cells in the vege garden isn't inappropriate. In fact the cells are used a lot in planter boxes walls and floor. A vege garden functions similarly to a planter box as both need good drainage underneath and also need to waterproof the walls. With the use of 30mm drainage cells you will essentially not only waterproof the sleepers from the inside but also retain the soil inside. Additionally the cells will capture excess moisture within the soil, throughout the depth of the cells in the soil, and channel it towards the bottom thus reducing the lateral loads on the sleepers.

And I really like your idea of using the cells as flooring and drainage for storage shed. The idea is good in that dismantling and re-positioning a shed is easier with plastic drainage cells, its not so easy when the floor is made of concrete! Its simple and quick to install.

Default Well I got some shade a fews days ago.....

....but now it's getting darker in there, and it's Day 20 of construction.

After four days off from construction (sorting out and loading timber - which is a long walk) I have an imperative to get the weather facing walls on now - there will be rain over the next couple of days.

No, I'm not silly enough to have cut the sheets too short. Silly, but not that silly. I have to make a door for the end of the northern wall so I can access two bays of timber that are too long for the normal bays (1500 & 1800 deep). This is the timber I'll be using for the shed extension.

The metal ridges meeting at the corner couldn't be aligned either - just the way the skirting boards run with the different levels.

I'm impressed at just how much timber it holds. There are still 1x 1500, 2x ½ 1500 and 5x 1800 bays to fill. I have all the long timbers in, and really only the cabinet timbers to go. I have more or less sorted those out and bundled them. Just the giant PITA stack of Spotted Gum under the hoose to sort out.

Reckon there'll be room for the bins of camping gear and other stuff too, which is great.

Currently, this is what the neighbours see. He thought I was starting up a Saw Mill - 'cept it's already sawn

That's quite impressive Brett. I had not appreciated the magnitude of the building and it holding capacity.

Don't you worry about those long bits sticking out: We'll have those cut off quicker'n you can say "sloped gullets."

Actually, that's not a bad idea for the Sawn-off, and I hadn't thought of it.

Or perhaps a John Elliot response.

Thanks chaps. I must say that I am pleased with it so far, and have more or less enjoyed it greatly - learnt HEAPS and gained great confidence for doing the shed extension. That was always part of the plan - use this one as the learning curve for doing the extension that really needs to be done properly. Whilst there won't be anything like the complexity of shelving in the extension, it will be a different build.
