    Default another 16a

I've just unpacked and run my new Hafco 16a. Investigating a noise I found the blade is slapping against the main column,at rest there is only 8mm clearance between blade and upright, is this normal? Band feels pretty tight but I've had to max out the tension to get it and it's still slapping. The next blade will be shorter, but will that stop the slap, or must I put a block between blade and frame? I know there are heaps of 16a s out there so hopefully someone can help. The blade by the way is exactly the recommended 2950mm.

yes, its one of the short comings of the BP...no biggie, as enough tension will stop it happening.

I get my blades at 2945, 2950 is too big IMHO.

I get mine at 2930 minimum and they are usually very close to that. I have never had a problem with blade slapping.

The supplied blade is useless so it wont cut stright until you buy another one. i use C&S saw service in Melbourne they freight all over Australia.

Good luck on the purchase mine is great to use.
