Some TC teeth closeups, as you can see you don't get much TC for the $.....the straight tooth first, the triple grind and a top view

    Hi Paul,
No set like a normal blade/tooth configuration, being a TC blade the width of the tip gives the blade clearance, not sure if there's any relief on the tip itself, doesn't look like it?

For me, results are good enough, depending on what I’ll use it for. Are you satisfied with the result, Pete?

Peter - if you get a chance - could you measure the width of the actual blade, and the width of the straight tooth please?

I'm wondering how much clearance there is, and how the kerf compares to a "normal" blade with teeth set L-R-zero.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Yes, for the woodmaster B blade it's about as good as it's gets!

For the TC blade the tip is 42' (kerf) and the blade band is 30' so 6' clearance each side, hope this helps.

    Having a clean-up, I took note of some sheoak that was cut down from a half-trunk ... about 5' x 1' x 1' now ...

the saw marks seem very shallow ... from a 1" L-R-straight blade with 20mm between points. (1.3tpi)

It's 6 months or more since it was cut so maybe it has 'weathered' down a little ... but either way it was a lot less than I expected.

I cut a fair bit of big material then ... maybe it lost set as it went?

When I was cutting back then, I was just glad it was working well ... I've learnt more since then and would no doubt look at it a bit differently.

    Thanks for the measurements Peter.

    Paul.
