    Default Backyard Blitz Strikes Back

    In tonight's Backyard Blitz they were clearing out the junk from a guy's backyard before starting the garden renovation and guess what went? A Triton Workcentre- looked in good nick too.
    Getting even for the posting below?
    Can't believe they spray painted the fence in mission brown though!

    Saw that show as well, first time in ages. They never even found out if the guy wanted to keep it, just threw it out with the rest of his tools and treasures.

    I thought the fence was painted purple which is just as bad.

    Typically useless show, they forever keep telling us what they are doing (especially that chippie) but not showing how they do it. I noticed that now it is done over 3 days instead of 2 which I suppose is to allow them to do more bad comic routines.:mad:

    A well, I'll watch it again in 6 months time hoping that meanwhile it will improve.

    Peter.
    I reckon that show might achieve better results if they put the chippies in charge of the art, the the artists in charge of the gardening and the gardeners onto the chipping.

    I'l love to see some of the places in 6 or 12 months time for two reasons - firstly, to see how well the work and structures have lasted and secondly to see how the people have maintanied what they have been giving cause I reckon if they can't maintain what they had then they won't maintain what they receive, like last night the crap that was in that yard at the start.

    The treated pine was supposed to be some new stuff called ACQ treated.
    the "A" would still be arsenic, the "C" for for either the copper or chomium but what is the "Q" for.

    Product of Queensland, Queer like the rest of them, Quick just gloss over this part before someone notices it???

    FWIW according to the Backyard Blitz web site for this "make-over";
    "ACQ Treated Timber: Ammonium copper quaternary (ACQ) is an arsenic and chromium free preservative treatment and is one of the main types of timber preservative treatments protecting against fungal and insect attack.":confused:

    I find my life is much less stressful since I stopped watching that show.

    Backyard what?

    Oh I see, the one that the female interior designer tells you how to put ribbon on a table leg or how to use milk paint to paint the table. Everything is done under $2.
