Looks to be in pretty good nick to me just some maintenance work.

    What specifically is worrying you.

With regard to fix exterier like new do you intend to strip and repaint or spot repair while replacing any fittings needed.

    Darts,

Looks fairly functional to me too, just a few odd jobs to get her tidied up.

The one slightly bigger "odd job" must surely be to change the colour scheme. If you are going to repaint, do the whole boat lot in something different. (please!)

Actually, one of my boats is bright yellow. I can see where the kids are in it from a great distance so yellow has its advantages.

    Cheers, Cameron.

Yes , i want to repain Her, all the exterior .
But first i should fix the cracks, the dents , the rotten parts etc...
For a started, i try to repair the centreboard and would like to know, if it is OK to use the "Selleys Aqua Marine knead" for the crack and what to do for the bottom side , where i had to cut the centreboard, in order to be able to put it out.
See pictures at: My Boat - Kelner Yves Albums and Videos look for Album "Pictures for Woodwork Forums" it is the last album
If more details needed, let me know.
    Best regards,

    Hi Dart,
Yes the the rot in the float arm is a concern and needs attention given it's structural importance.

I have to declare I'm not an expert but I'm always happy to give you an opinion.

It looks to me as though the seams and joints have not been fibreglass taped and glued with epoxy thus making them water proof and protected against rot. In another photo of a hatch it also appears the ply has not been sealed with epoxy which makes me wonder about the interior condition of both the floats and float arms.
Do you know when it was built?

First step for me would be to remove both arms and cut some inspection holes in appropriate locations for a thorough check this should give you a clue as to other problem there may be.

Given the obvious issues I would invest in a small angle grinder and grind out any joints showing cracks. When the extent of the repairs are determined perhaps post some more photos here so the best repair method can be recommended.

I'll leave it at that and hopefully you will get a more qualified response.

    Good luck with it.

    Hi!
The boat was build in 1985
The previous owner had a survey ( 16 th September 2006), I could make a PDF of the survey if interested and post it here if it is possible. Or post it to you directly, because I read on the survey “ This report is confidential and non transferable.”
I checked thoroughly the other float and it is very dry. The one with the rot, in other parts seem to be dry and in good condition with a good protection of Polyester resin every where. Only that particular area got problem.
I can take more pictures inside the float as to show you the condition and so be able to give me your opinion.
I am no familiar with the way to download pictures to the forum with the "http://",
usually you just click on the picture you want to download. Could you explain the process with the "http://".
No problem for the tools, I have a few to do a proper job.
Waiting for your answer with great interests.
    Regards,

I'd like to suggest you join the yahoo group. There is one specifically for the trailertris and the level of expertise there on them is remarkable. They are tremendously helpful and give great advice on all aspects of repair and sailing.

Mr Farrier will help if you contact him but he's very busy and it's always been my approach to only bother him if no one else can help.

This link may get you there, but be aware I was logged in when I retrieved it:

There are many helpful and knowledgable people here, but your TT is a complex boat with specific problems and needs. Nothing like the advice of long term owners of the same boat.

I am confident they will be able to help. Good luck, great choice of boat.
