Transporting the auk
Hi guys, it is time for me to start thinking how I am going to sling the auk of the davits of the big boat and store it at home in the "off season". I am thinking about one sling through the mast hole in the front thwart ( seat?) to an eye bolt screwed into keelson / keel. For the aft mabey a couple of of eyebolts screwed through the seat beam as close as I can get to the side of the boat. I could use the same lifting point to sling the baby up under the wife's new carport/ boat paint shop.
The new davits will only be about 7ft apart and the dingy has wound up about 8ft.
Any ideas or thoughts on this issue?
