    Default Post Format

Did I do something to change the post format on my forum display or has it been adjusted by a higher power?

I've just noticed that the user information is now on the right hand side of the post header instead of just underneath the poster's username. Can I change it back as I much prefer to see all the user info in the same spot?

    Thanks,
    Steve.

Nup not changing it back. Been out of date for around 5 years now. Has plenty of advantages including fitting more across the page. All the info is still there just horizontally in stead of vertically.

I remember the last time this was tried... hated it then, still hate it now. The only advantage I can see has already been mentioned: more text across the page. Personally I find that the way it breaks the "flow" of the reading is irritating, and instead of being able to pick a poster's relevant details at a glance, now I have to scan left and right.

For me, these two annoyances alone more than outweigh any supposed benefits from longer lines.

I don't s'pose there's any way to make this formatting user selectable in their Profile?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Took me by surprise too fellas, don't worry you'll get used to it .

Remember when cars turning left had to give way to cars turning right? Much more important than user information and affected many more people, things change and we adapt.

It has another advantage - if someone who doesn't like thumbnails embeds pictures in the text, the greater width of the text area wilol make it less likely that the picture will throw ofut the formatting for all posts in the thread. So I'm with the higher power on this one.

When I click a thread I only see the left 30% of the page with a scroll bar across the bottom. It started today and coincided with a Firefox update . This is the only site I've noticed doing it and I assume stems from your changes. Any idea of a fix? Thanks

Is this all threads or threads with Images?

Maybe your Firefox update didn't complete, try closing down the browser and start again.

Looking through 6 or 7 forums on which I'm a member and which use vbulletin as their forums software, only one other has the user info listed vertically on the left of a post.

As long as the info is there, I for one don't care where it displays.

    chage it back

its distracting having teh stuf at the top of every post. it forces you to read it before you couold just keep readign and only check who wrote what when u felt like it.
i could just keep readig before now i have to stop and start on teh topic again.

surely it can be made an option.

Along with this change I have noticed that the max size for a .jpg file is now 246.5 KB.
    This is great IMHO.
I really like the opportunity to see bigger pix.
    Thanks to all.

Ok, so the post format stays, fair enough.

Another quick question, has the attachment navigator been given the boot as well? Seems anytime I click on a thumbnail it immediately opens a new tab with the image but the really nice "next" and "previous" buttons are nowhere to be found
