Default Black Cherry & White Ash Dining Chair

Thought I'd share with you some new chairs Im making. Im also trying to get my digital photography skills better and struggling

wood used American black cherry and white ash
back slats are white ash, the rest cherry
Mortise and tenon joinery, the front tapers towards the back, so angled tenons were needed. Back slats were joined using the festool domino.
corner blocks were used along with mahogany dowels through the front and back tenons.
I upholstered the chairs with a "rustic look" leather material. Im a real novice when it comes to upholstery...slowly learning
Finish is Kreidezeit hard clear oil.
    cheers!

    Looks great.

I like the slats running from top to bottom of the back.

    Thanks for the interest
I'll be making a table and bench for the chairs, I'll update then with some more pictures of it all together, and some more angles of the chairs.
    cheers!

A few more angles of the chair, and one made from Poplar, with a Turkish material seat. These pics are brighter than the first. Playing with the camera, still learning
    Cheers!

Nice looking chair. I like the way the slats go down past the seat. Different!

BobR took the words from my mouth. I also like the way you've done the slats. Good one.
