Winnie, you have been spending too long in the workshop!!!
And you have too much timber.
I am jealous.
That is a good looking bookcase. The arch adds a lot to the simple design.
Making the back from boards instead of ply makes a case look so much better. What thickness are they?Scally

Great looking case. Well done.

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Classic simplicity, with some nice detailed touches. Brilliant!
Can you give more details of the joinery and the finish? Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

Great piece, would also like to know what finish you used.
Reality is no background music.
