Thread: Boxes etc

It is always a pleasure to view the quality of work submitted by members. I have learned plenty but dont rate my work in comparison to what I enjoy on this forum. However, I cant keep taking without contributing something, so here are a few boxes and things I have put together over the last little while. All are made from recycled NZ Rimu, some with Kwila lids and splines. The money box has an Oak base and top - acknowledging the English and New Zealand parentage of the little girl for whom it was made.
The pencil cases are made from an old recycled school desk - probably 50 or 60 years old. The three ply storage base had plenty of graffiti on it so I used some of it for the pencil case bases, leaving the writing intact. If I am happy enough with the result, I imbed an old five cent coin in the article (Tuatara lizard on the face).
