Bulldozer
I'm new here so I'm not sure if it's frowned upon to add two things one after the other...
Anyway, I'll keep it short. Here is a small aeroplane and a bulldozer I built for the kids a few years back. Both out of solid Ponderosa Pine.
The aeroplane wings turn (grips routed into the top wing) The axel doesn't penetrate through the top wing so it can be used as an activity surface (reading books, colouring in, etc.,.) The pics here shows it after a winter landing.
The bulldozer is steered with the levers. The front blade was also counter-ballanced with a strong spring so it had practically no weight and was easy to lift with the levers.
For me personally, making toys is one of the most fulfilling of all the wood-working types. A shame the kids are too big for it now...

Great work!

"If a man is after money, he's money mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a never-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Hi Damien,
Great work on both - I'm with Wendy - more pics, please!!
Oh, and we have a little boy just the right size to fit that dozer....!!! You could just fly it over in the plane, maybe?!!! Great heirlooms.
Cheers,
Jill

Do you have plans for the plane? I have a young aviator who would love it if his Dad made him one like that...

Hi Damien - and Welcome!
Great looking toys that look as if they were fun to build.
Chuckles at your signature line. My only comment would be: "yes - if you get too close!"
