Not to be a snit, but take care when selling products like this. If a child falls out of the bed and hurts themself, the bed maker could be sued for not ensuring safety rails or something.
It was only a couple of months ago that a boy had a sleepover at a friends house, they were fooling around and he fell off the top bunk and hurt his head. The parents sued the parents of the boy that held the sleepover.
The point is, even if the attitude is boys will be boys - the legal implications of selling handmade furniture to people makes them clients and thus increases the duty of care of the maker. The key word here is selling.
I love the pictures and wish that I could do as well as you have, but I would not feel right in not raising awareness of safety / litigation issues. The duty of care inherent in selling childrens furniture means that you should have appropriate insurance to cover such eventualities.
In todays legal and political situation, kids will be kids is often second to lawsuits and insurance risk factors.
Than said, I love it!!

This is the bed I've been looking for but you only see them on American O/S's sites! I asked my brother (who is O/S) and is a carpenter if they're easy to make and he said "yeah, if you're a carpenter or in construction" so that disappointed me. You did such a great job!! You should go into business, I'd buy one!!!

Better not show my son. He'd want one too. In appropriate colours of course, and with armour PJs. and a sword to cuddle.

Does it come in Blue????
Seriously great job, will have to put my thinking cap back on, as I know
my grandson would love it but with a medieval paint job of course and
maybe the odd dragon or two. On second thoughts maybe the dragons
might keep him awake.
cheers Mick
