A couple more Pool Cues.......
Just finished a couple more pool cues......
Seems I am so busy these days, its all I can do to finish 2 or 3 a year......
Oh well........its quality, not quantity right......
Might take a couple of posts to get the picts up.
Cue No 1.
South African Blackwood and Tulip Wood, with (Paste) Torquoise inlay, Rock Maple Shaft, 3/8 10 tpi into wood joint pin (Try getting a tap for one of those at Blackwoods.....).....high action PVC ferrule, Sumo Tip (11 layers of compressed Buffalo Hide)
I built this cue for myself, and it is one heavy cue.....love it.......

Cue No 2.
Has a good story to it.
Made from Queensland Maple, and Macassar Ebony, shaft made from Birds Eyed Maple.
I purchased the Queensland Maple from someone on this forum well over a year ago. I was told it was from a tree that was blown over in the cyclones in Queensland going back 2 years or so.
We picked up the wood from the post office the afternoon of the June long weekend Storms and floods. It was in the boot of my missus car (on top of a whole heap of other stuff) when we got flooded........the wood was safe of course.............the car was a write off.......
I pushed this cue along a little bit, just cause I wanted to get a feel for the weight of the wood, and to see how it played (I think I purchased enough Qld Maple for about 36 cues)
Pict Time......
(Hmm..........have get some better picts.........)

Great looking cues as usual. I really like that inlay too.
I intended to make a cue, bought the parts and marked out a plan for the patterns, not sure what I did with it all though . One day I'll find them again and give it a goNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

I honestly haven't seen a cue that you have made that I didn't love. They make me want to get a pool table and try making some for myself.
CorbsIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.
