Default My daughter's new wooden playhouse / cubby / fort

    Hi all,

just thought I'd share some pics of my daughter's new wooden playhouse/fort I built (with the help of the in-laws!). I've added a slide down the one side, which isn't in the photos shown here. Enjoy!

Also, can anyone recommend a good oil to stain the wood? The logs along the sides are starting to split longitudinally, and although it's not weakening the structure, I'd like to protect it as best I can before the heat of summer sets in(although it's already here!). Also, it would be best to oil the floors (so long as I can keep my daughter out of the cubby for a while so it dries!), so I'd like to hear what people think I should use.

anyone's advice would be most appreciated!

    Diver D.

    Thumbs up

    Good one Doug!!!

Beware the dreaded council bully boys. Probably want a building application.

Any good decking finish should do the protection job.

    Those were the days!!

Not sure if it is still the case, but if the roof wasnt solid it didnt need
approval, so you could always replace the corro with thatch, otherwise
section 303 of the Tarpaulin Act should suffice.

    cheers Mick
