    Thumbs up Dining Table

The large 200mm sections are made from Cypress Pine the 25mm sections are Redwood and the 150mm centre piece and foot rail are Iron Bark.

The table is glue laminated and biscuit joined and is very very stable.
The timber was all kiln dried and dressed at work (i work at a sawmill)
And my wife says WHY DO YOU SPEND ALL THAT MONEY ON POWER TOOLS FOR?
    Now she knows.

    Very Nice.

    What glue did you use?

    Thumbs up

Just used normal Aquadhere but lots of it, just had to remember to wipe off the excess before it dried.

That table is the same design as a coffee table my parents had and bought when they married in 1930. My sister has it and it still looks good. I hope your will become an heirloom too.

Beautifull work and you claim to be a dodgy boy?

Nice work Dodgy Boy and welcome to the Forum.

Now where's this sawmill you work at? Could use a few planks or better still a natural edged slab for a dining table!!

Well you can't blame me for tryin' - don't get nothin' if'n ya don't ask

As a matter of interest I use Weldbond rather than Aquadhere - just think it's better - Any thoughts?

To Dodgy Boy, Super job and keep sawing, don't worry about the tools they always complain about something.

Mate that table looks great. I am just in the process of trying to find some plans for a dining table of my own. Mind if I use your table for inspiration? The wife wants me to go out and purchase one for her for about $1200 I told her I'd make her one. Now every second day she asks when her tbale is going to be made?

Have you made any chairs for the table you made, or are you planning to?

    Cool

    Hi Kris,

I was thinking about making a couple of forms to go down each side with the same end design as the table. I can't decide weather to put backs on them or not.
