    Default Hall Table

Here is a couple of pics of a hall table that our students will be making next term... I had to whip this one up as a "here's one I prepared earlier" demo model.

    Basic-ish but very pleasing.

It is made of Silky Oak, with an oil finish (yet to be waxed) so the top is not attached yet, it makes finishing easier (you can see in the pics the top is not allinged right)

The quatersawn timber is just great!

    Enjoy.

    Hi Steve,

Nice table, sweet, simple and elegant in that too.

Great looking table Steve. I could never tire of looking at Silky Oak, the grain is amazing.
I'm really drawn to the simplistic lines and design of furniture such as this and it's something thats evident in small collection of furniture. I've always been a fan of the "less is more" theory.
Two thumbs up from me, it's a shame I don't live closer as I would love to attend one of your classes.

    Cheers,

    Evan
