Kitchen Hutch
Hi All, i thought i would post some pics of jobs i have done while at Tafe over the past 2 years. The first one is a cabinet we mad last year (my 2nd yr) and it is raw in this pic, i will add the finished version in a few days.
You may be able to see the shadow lines cut in around the drawer, doors, and carcase tops, these have now been filled with handcut blackbutt inlay.

Well i have finished the cabinet, and now all that i need to do is get some glass for the doors, and also the adj shelving.
For the inlay i used Blackbutt, and also Western red cedar, which broke to easily, so i changed to Blackbutt, i als hand made the handles, from a pen blank a bought about 6 yrs ago, i sanded them down, and lacquered them.
I used thw Wattyl 2 pack Estapol Super gloss, i quite like it as a finish, i think it would have been much better with a spray application instead of the Brush i used. I will have to research spray equipment and put it on the fathers day/ christmas gift list.
