I can't believe that this post has been up for two hours with no response.
Munga, this is an exceptional piece of work. Would appreciate more detail on the design and construction. I love the large support column and the detailed trim around the table top. What is the surface covered with? A greenie coming your way.

Well done Munga, I think it's brilliant. Have you got the secret compartment to store the spare aces in ?
(Nice to see a Triton router table in the background too)If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Great work Munga. I have seen something like this in a Mag recently & I remember thinking how difficult it looked to build.
Well done, truly inspiring. The fact remains, that 97% of all statistics are made up, yet 87% of the population think they are real.

Thanks everyone for your good words I got the design from Aus. Woodsmith mag and did the usual thing and modified to suit, they used Tassie oak and a burl veneer and I used New Guinea Rosewood and Jarra as soon as I can I'll post some pics with it oiled and the felt on, it's a huge difference.
Jill I have a nieghbour a young lady who came here had a look at some of the stuff I'd done and said she wished she cauld do that stuff so on to the computer up with some of your posts and showed her what a lady could do, she was very impressed and is now having a go. thanks.

nice work munga, that table is on my list of things to do when i get further through the current joblist, and naturally ive got a few "mods" of my own to make as well, eg will attach the legs to the column with sliding dovetails instead of screws, just cos thats easy with a woodrat
