Default Red Gum and Birdseye Huon Hall table.

A few years go, i Was approached by a young married couple to make a hall table for them. They originally wanted it to be all Huon Pine. After some discussion, they agreed that it would probably be a bit insipid and decided that Red Gum would go well with the as contrast.
They had already decided that they were going to Tassie to get the Huon, so after we discussed what they should look for, (figure, straight, good colour) they headed off. I received the timber by courier about three days later and began construction.

I have detailed construction elsewhere, but thought I'd post the finished item in place.

    Regards,

    Rob

    That is really nice work

I'm not a huge fan of contemporary furniture but the simple lines and beautifully contrasting timbers are definitely a winner here. I like this a lot; well done Rob.
