Rosewood & Silver Ash Hall Table
Well it's finally finished
Good thing too, it's the wifes birthday!! (gathering brownie points)
The curved & arched apron adds to the overall effect I was after, but I should have put a Silver Ash string on it. Oh well next time
It's 2000mm (L) X 300mm (W) X 900mm (H) All out of one board.
Wadda yas all reckon????

MP, that looks amazing! Love the way the top appears to "float" above the delicate legs. Should surely keep you credited in brownie points for a while to come.

Looks very elegant Major . The silver Ash inlay is a great look too. How did you shape the top ?

Fabuloso!
Don't lose any sleep over not stringing the face; make another one the way you think it should be, and I'll see if I can get used to that one!
Seriously, to my taste, it doesn't need any improving!
Cheers,
P

Brilliant as usual!!
How much would you charge for a job like that for a paying customer?

Congratulations Major, a great piece of work. Perhaps I should dust off the hall table components prepared a year or so ago and pick up a few pixie points myself ?
But it won't be as flash as your effort, that's for sure.

A beautiful piece like this leaves us ordinary woodworkers a little stunned and humble.
Well done, Major!

Superb. That would put a lot of the 'designer' furniture out there to shame. A very harmonious piece indeed. I've planned to do something similar (though a little less daunting) in figured deep red maple - once it comes out of the kiln!

Great work Major
Just remember those brownie points you've collected recently will all disappear at the first indiscretion so enjoy em while you can
