Default Serving board in jarrah and maple.

Put this together yesterday afternoon from some offcuts.

Intriguing design Zen. Is there a philosophical significance in the curve intersecting with the straight and just kissing the angle on the corner?

Bob: the only philosophy involved was to avoid symmetry or regularity of shapes. Another was to avoid cracks in the jarrah boards by cutting them out. This yielded the widths of the straight pieces, and help determine the radius and location of the curved end. Even so, a cracked piece fell off one edge while I was working on it, resulting in the facet on the front right-hand corner.

Harry: SWMBO would have liked to have kept it, but the board was given away on the evening of construction.

I like it, the "avoiding cracks philosophy", reminds me of "step on a crack and you'll break your back"

Wow Zen! Are they going to use it as it was intended or hang it on the wall??

    Beautiful work Zen!
