Table and Benches - Recycled Jarrah
Here's my first go (with some help from my father in-law)
We built a table and matching benches from recycled jarrah. The table top (3.0mx1.1m x 45mm thk) and bench tops came "pre-made" and I built the legs of the benches from 4No. 75x75 pieces biscuited together. The table legs are 270 wide planks biscuited together.
All the timber was supplied by Australian Recycled Timbers in Victoria.
I have finished it all with Synteko Solid pentrating oil, by applying with lambs wool applicator and hand buffing with a brown type flooring pad. The matt look is great.
The first photo shows the finished job. The second one was the design (by me)rendered in Autocad and placed in a photo of the room - all done by my good mate Pete the builder from Eden.
I'm now inspired to my next job - ceiling to floor book case on the wall of the study.

Pilot,
Nice work for your first project.
Too bad the phota was a little dark. It would have been great to see the true colour of the timber.
Good luck with your next project.

Love the table. Not sure if my upload will work properly but if it does, it should show the colours more clearly.
