    Thanks for the tips, Woodlee. I have never fertilized my cactuses, or used special soil once they're in the ground. I do use cactus potting mix when I re-pot them though. The only attention they get is a little water on very hot summer days. Maybe that explains the slow growing too, eh?

    Here's a photo of my babies. In winter they're in shade for most of the morning. I assume their growth more or less shuts down in winter, so it doesn't matter so much that they only get half a day's sun. In summer they get 3/4 day's worth of sun.

    Beautiful symmetry Harry. Nice to see an aloe making an appearance among its cactus cousins.
