    Red face Advice required urgently!

HANGOVERS! I'm not feeling very well today and it is all because I probably got a bad cube of ice in one of my too many drinks Yesty. Now I was wondering if, in the interests of the welfare of fellow forumites during the festering season, you could advise on how to recover from aforesaid hangover.

For starters, turn the brightness of your monitor waaaaayyyyyyyyyy down.

    That's it.

    Betcha feel better already.

Heaps of water, Chris. Your feeble brain is dehydrated, which is why you have that headache.

Get some sugars and salts into you as well. Vegemite, although banned in the USA, is still an excellent source of Vitamin B and will inject some into your severely depleted system.

Once you've done all that and it does nothing, go to the fridge and crack open a cold one. Nothing like a hair of the dog to kick start the liver again.

Go find and oxygen bottle and get it into you. Fire brigade, RAAF Base or maybe a hospital. We used to use the CFA BA on a Sunday morning, the ones that were to be returned that is.

Can't advise how to recover from one, but there is a sure fire to avoid a hangover.......STAY DRUNK.

That's one part of the equation I never figured out... I can give some good pointers on how to get one, but not get rid of it

(A fresh greasy hamburger and a Slurpee from 7-11 works wonders though)

Hopefully it's too late now but for next time, the ONLY cure for a hangover (apart from another beer) is a bacon and egg roll with lots of pepper and BBQ sauce.

drink a heap of water, go down the beach and dig a large hole and when its full of water sit in it and breath deeply. (WITH YOUR EYES SHUT).
If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

I share an office with a bloke who has a similar recipe, try a toasted ham, cheese, onion, tomato and deepfried potato scallop sandwich with lashings of barbecue sauce.

I try to have something to eat and drink a couple of glasses of water before I finish the big night - not that this actually happens any more btw

Preferably something easy like a few slices of vegemite on toast i.e.that doesn't involve sharp instruments

The next morning I go for a mixed fruit juice, and then a big greasy stodgy breakfast.

    cheers
    Wendy

You need to prepare a hangover kit "before" you get on the turps and put it on your bedside table so theirs a slim chance you will take it before you pass out.

Drink a 1.25lt bottle of water and two vitamin B tabs and three table spoons of honey (to raise the blood sugar level and stop that horrible dehydration and head bangin you get next day) and when you wake up a big glass of gatoraid with two berrocas in it to wash down 4 panadoles and you will be feelin fit as a fiddle and ready to get stuck into it all over again
