    Default Dog on Wheels

I went to check the mailbox this morning and literally thousands of push bikes were going down the hill towards Mansfield. Downhill for the next 25Kms from here.

One of them was a dog riding a bike, it looked thirsty so I took it inside and gave it a drink. I caught it sniffing around my planes in the temporary workshop.

    Is it lost?

Just a mongrel stray? It had a tag on so you could contact the correct owners.

I doubt they would want him back.

I found my way home. 540ks around Victoria. This gnomish looking bloke in Tolmie gave me a cup of tea. Showed me around his workshop and quite worryingly, took me into the back room and showed me his snake.

Good to hear you made it back OK Grunt.

Life's great up here Bob - visibility is a bit low last night and and this morning due to all the smoke. We are quite safe at the moment.

With Grunt cocking his leg on all the trees, I doubt if too much would burn

    Special light weight racing dog.
I tell ya, being a bit of a light weight is a real advantage going up them hills. A few 600 meter climbs on the ride. Didn't have to stop the bike on any of the up hill bits. Fat boys like Zed, would really struggle.
